Our Mission

EmpathyFocus was created with a simple but powerful mission: to foster understanding through experience. We believe that true empathy comes from stepping into another person's reality, even if only for a moment.

Our interactive simulations provide a window into the experiences of people living with various conditions, helping to build bridges of understanding where words alone often fall short.

Our Approach

Each simulation is developed in close consultation with individuals who have lived experience of the conditions being portrayed. We also plan to work with healthcare professionals, advocates, and researchers to ensure our content is both authentic and educational.

We recognize that no simulation can perfectly replicate another person's experience, but we strive to create meaningful approximations that build awareness and challenge misconceptions.

Authenticity

All simulations are based on real experiences shared by people with lived experience of the conditions portrayed.

Respect

We approach each condition with respect, avoiding stereotypes and emphasizing the individuality of experiences.

Education

Our simulations aim to educate, not just evoke emotion, providing context and factual information.

Accessibility

We strive to make our platform accessible to all users, including those with the conditions we simulate.

Our Team

EmpathyFocus brings together experts from diverse fields including healthcare, education, technology, and advocacy. Most importantly, our team includes individuals with lived experience of the conditions we simulate.
